Frisco TX Real Estate

The city of Frisco TX was formed in 1902.  From a small village at its inception, the city was blessed with rich soil that made farming very productive.  But, water was an issue, so the creative Texans dug Frisco Lake to provide the water that would support further growth.  Finally, the city's founding fathers made sure that transportation alternatives would be in place.  With these three key elements, the city has grown and prospered.

Today, you'll find Frisco TX north of Highway 121 and Plano, and it is a rapidly growing community still.  With over 100,000 residents, this bedroom community has exploded with housing, shopping, office and medical buildings.  Stonebriar Mall is one of the most popular malls in Collin County and a source for Frisco tax revenues.

Frisco is home of the Frisco Soccer Association, the Frisco Recreation Center, and the Frisco Rough Riders minor league baseball team.  A sense of community is evident when you attend local events such as the Frisco Freedom Fest on July 4th, the Lone Star Storytelling Festival in October each year, and Christmas in the Square which offers one of the best "musical" light shows in the area.

If golf is your passion, you'll find championship courses such as the Tom Fazio course at the Weston Stonebriar Resort, and classic courses at the Trails at Frisco and Plantation Golf.  For a more relaxing activity, you can pamper yourself at one of the 10 day spas that call Frisco home.

Frisco real estate offers new construction, quality home builders, and master-planned and gated communities.  In May 2009, the median sales prices for homes in Frisco was $210,130, which represents an increase of 13.9% over the median price in May 2008.

Some of the luxury neighborhoods include Starwood, Stonebriar, Stone Briar Country Club Estates, Chapel Creek, Country Club Ridge, Shaddock Creek Estates, Villages of Stonebriar Park.  Other popular neighborhoods include Chase at Stonebriar, Creekside at Stonebriar, Estates on Legacy, Lakes on Legacy, The Trails, Pearson Farms, Westfalls Village, Griffin Parc, Newman Village, Heritage Lakes, and Settlement at Craig Ranch.
